August 2024 Employee of the Month

It is with pleasure that we honor Javier Quintana, Teacher in Special Education/Integrated Sites, as the August 2024 Employee of the Month.

Javier’s intuitive teaching style and willingness to support his team in every way creates incredible opportunities for the Special Education students on campus. He makes his integrated high school class fun, developing an atmosphere where his students can learn and mingle with each other and with their general education peer tutors with music and games. 

Javier knows his students well and understands how to help them improve their skills so that they are ready for adulthood and the challenges that come with it. He is always willing to help teammates with strong behavior challenges, offering serenity in stressful situations. 

Javier also coordinates the Special Olympics and activities such as the Extensive Support Needs bowling tournament for Integrated Sites, which is fun for students and helps them meet peers from around the county.
