Arts for Learning Mini-Conference
Common Core State Standards offer an incredible opportunity to offer our students a well-rounded education that includes the arts, science and history, but to achieve that goal, we all have much to discover. To learn more, please join us for our annual Arts For Learning mini-conference to be held on Tuesday, October 30th from 8:30am to 11:00am at the Holiday Inn, Downtown Fresno. To register for this free event which includes breakfast and resources for your school, just click here: http://tinyurl.com/fan2012
Arts For Learning will connect K-12 principals with local arts organizations to learn about arts opportunities for students and schools as well as arts integration professional development for teachers. You will also learn from elementary, middle and high school principals how they have supported the arts. You may attend all or part of the morning, but if your busy schedule does not allow, please send a representative from your school.
Why should you attend?
Research tells us that students engaged in the arts have better attendance, better behavior, better test scores, better critical thinking skills, and a better chance for success in higher education and the world of work.
The question really is, Why would you NOT attend to learn more about bringing the transformative power of the arts to your students?
