SELPA Local Plans
Local Educational Agencies (LEAs), such as school districts and charter schools, are required to make available a continuum of program options to meet the needs of students with disabilities for special education and related services. In California, LEAs join a Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) dedicated to the belief that all students can learn and that special needs students must be guaranteed equal opportunity to become contributing members of society.
