Fresno County Committee on School District Organization

The Fresno County Committee on School District Organization met on November 7, 2024, and voted on a petition proposing the transfer of school district territory out of Sierra Unified School District and into Clovis Unified School District.  After thorough consideration of the petition, including over five hours of presentations and public comments received during prior meetings, the Committee has decided to disapprove the petition. The County Committee released the following statement: 

A public hearing will be held by the Fresno County Committee on School District Organization to receive public testimony and input from the community on a proposal to transfer school district territory out of Sierra Unified School District and into Clovis Unified School District.

The public hearing shall be held as follows:

TIME: 
No earlier than 5:30 p.m. and as close to that time as the business of the County Committee on School District Organization permits.

A public hearing will be held by the Fresno County Committee on School District Organization to receive public testimony and input from the community on a proposal to transfer school district territory out of Sierra Unified School District and into Clovis Unified School District.

A public hearing will be held by the Fresno County Committee on School District Organization to receive public testimony and input from the community on a proposal from Monroe Elementary School District to lapse, dissolving the district, and annex its territory into Caruthers Unified School District.
