CUSD seniors accepted to firefighting academy

The Clovis Unified School District 2013-14 ROP Firefighting Technology senior students were accepted into the Fresno City College Fire Academy. Students represent all five of the district’s high schools.

They will participate in the rigorous 20-week Firefighter 1 Academy from July 28 to Dec. 11. The students were chosen because they excelled in the CUSD ROP Firefighting Technology program.

“We are proud of them. They should have bright futures in the fire service,” said Valerie Vuicich, administrator of the Fresno Regional Occupational Program.
