FCOE receives $50,000 grant for science fair
The Fresno County Office of Education received a $50,000 grant from the Deputy Sector Navigators for Advanced Manufacturing and Health Workforce under the “Doing What MATTERS for Jobs and the Economy” initiative.
The main objective of the grant is to increase Central Valley student participation in the regional Science, Math and Engineering Fair March 16-19, 2015 at the Fresno Fairgrounds. The partnership between Deputy Sector Navigators, California Community Colleges and FCOE demonstrates the leadership efforts in building a collaborative environment regionally to support student success and preparation of students for 21st century jobs, as well as regional economic growth.
“Doing What MATTERS for Jobs and the Economy” is a framework in response to the national, state and regional needs to close the skills gap. Please visit www.doingwhatmatters.cccco.edu for more information.
