March Superintendent’s Superstar shines

Zackeria Lovick, 8 years old and a student at Figarden Elementary School, was honored as the March Superintendent’s Superstar at the monthly Fresno County Board of Education meeting.

Zack created Zackeria’s School Supply Drive when he noticed many children do not have school supplies. His ongoing drive provide kids with needed supplies they can’t afford.

Each month, Zack and his mom, Malarie, pick one school and deliver backpacks filled with school supplies. So far, they have delivered more than 180 backpacks.

“I just wanted to do it,” said Zack. “I want to help kids.”
