New Kids Café features wonderful food, incredible opportunities for students

The Fresno County Superintendent of School’s Kids Café opened to the public Monday, Jan. 9 with a celebration and ribbon cutting. The café, located at 2019 Mariposa Mall, Fresno, represents months of planning and dedication from many FCSS departments, especially Special Education.

The café is a full-service restaurant and learning environment for FCSS’s Adult Transition Program students ages 18 to 22. The students work in the café a few hours a week under the supervision of Special Education staff to learn social and vocational skills to help them become more independent, successful adults.

The café is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. For the menu, please visit: www.kidscafe2019.fcoe.org.
