November Superintendent’s Superstar shines
Joshua Markos is a senior at Sierra High School. He is a leader in both his community service and at his school. At school, Joshua is very active in FFA, student government, yearbook staff and sports. He has swam competitively since the third grade and is currently on the Sierra Swim Team and the Sierra Water Polo Team. In FFA, he is the chapter president and has competed in Parliamentary Procedure since his freshman year, finishing third in the state his junior year on the advanced team.
Joshua has volunteered at his school’s PoloFest, Poverello House and an assisted living facility. In his spare time, he feeds animals for his neighbors, helps with the animals on his small family farm and helps his dad deliver water.
