FRIENDS program receives 2012 Red Cross ‘Real Heroes’ Community Partner Award
Fresno County Office of Education’s FRIENDS program provides services to infants and toddlers ages birth to 36 months with special needs who live within in the Fresno County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA). Because of their contributions and commitment to the families that they serve, the FRIENDS team recently received the Red Cross, Real Heroes Community Partner Award, presented to a community group, neighborhood, organization or local company that consistently demonstrates a commitment to making a difference in the community. From Big Creek in the Sierras, to Coalinga in western Fresno County, the FRIENDS team has made a positive impact on families. FRIENDS is an acronym for Fresno Regional Infant Educators Nurturing Developmental Services.
