Career Tech Night showcases career opportunities
More than 3,000 high school students attended the Fresno County Office of Education’s Regional Occupational Program’s Central Valley Career Tech Night on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at the Fresno Convention Center Exhibit Hall.
This was a free event that welcomed parents and students to explore and discover various career opportunities available throughout the Valley. Students had an opportunity to speak with more than 130 industry professionals about their experiences and gain insight into future employment opportunities. There were also hands-on demonstrations set up for students to encounter real-life experiences in the various trades.
The event was sponsored by Pacific Gas & Electric Company, Northern California District Council of Laborers, State Center Consortium and the “Doing What Matters” Project in Advanced Manufacturing
