Clovis High wins finals of Mock Trial competition

Clovis High School beat Clovis North High School in the final round of the 33rd Annual Fresno County Mock Trial competition on Feb. 5 at the Robert E. Coyle United States District Court Ceremonial Courtroom. The student teams tried the case the “People v. Shem.”

Superior Court presiding Judge Jon Conklin facilitated the recruitment of judges from both Superior and Federal courts to preside over the competition courtrooms, which began with 14 teams at the first round of competition on Jan. 14.

Clovis High School will represent Fresno County and compete at the State Mock Trial competition in Riverside on March 20-22. The event was sponsored by The Foundation @ FCOE, the Central California Trial Lawyers Association and the Fresno County Bar Association.
