December Superintendent’s Superstar shines

Hasan Amjad is a senior at Central High School West. He is the co-president of the Cultural Arts Interact Club and has been an active member since his freshman year. Hasan has logged more than 265 volunteer hours and takes pride in helping his community, which is one of his core values.

Hasan feels truly blessed to give back to his community and to help his fellow students. He volunteers monthly at Central Valley Community Church’s food distribution and Shinzen Friendship Garden, as well as at specialized events such as bell ringing with Rotarians.
Participating in the Interact Club has made a profound impact on his life because he sees how just a few hours of service can impact his community. His motto is: “The more you give than receive, the happier you will be.”
