Fair’s annual 4.0 & Above Program honors student achievement

More than 7,000 Fresno County students in grades 8 through 12 attended the Big Fresno Fair’s 5th Annual 4.0 & Above Program on Oct. 7. The event recognized qualified students who achieved a 4.0 or above grade point average with drawings for prizes, scholarships and a grand prize of a 2015 Toyota. This year’s big winner of the car was Jimmy Xiong, a 9th grade student at Central High School West.

The event is sponsored by the Fresno County Office of Education, the Big Fresno Fair and partners Friends of the Big Fresno Fair, Educational Employees Credit Union and Toyota.
