Fresno Pacific University breaks ground on new AIMS Center

Hundreds of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) supporters gathered at Fresno Pacific University on Feb. 4 to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new 10,000-square-foot AIMS Center for Math and Science Education. The AIMS Center offers new and innovative teaching methods to help Central Valley children of all ages and backgrounds develop a love for math and science.

Educators and elected officials support the new center, which they believe will ultimately help bridge the significant gap Fresno County faces in filling vacant mathematics teaching positions.
