Lopez honored as October Employee of the Month

It is with pleasure that the Office of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools honors Lupe Lopez, Para-Professional II in the Special Education department, as the October 2017 Employee of the Month.

Lopez has dedicated 30 years of her life to the Office of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools and the students it serves. Many things have changed over the years, but through it all, Lopez has remained loyal and devoted to her job. She started as a bus driver/para-educator and transitioned to a Para-Professional II.

Lopez, who works with 7th and 8th grade special education students at the FCSS Sutherland Center in Kerman, is well known and liked by her colleagues and members of the community. She often serves as a liaison to connect parents and other staff to the correct person or services available in the community or school. Every day, Lopez has a smile on her face and demonstrates love and compassion to her students.

“It takes a lot of patience,” said Lopez of her success in the classroom. “I enjoy making kids happy. I love what I do and that’s why I’m still here.”
