March Superintendent’s Superstar shines
Lizette Venegas is a senior at Selma High School. She has a 4.0444 GPA and was awarded the top speech score for team two at the honors level at the Fresno County Academic Decathlon. She is in ASB Leadership and is a Student Board Representative, participating in her district’s monthly board meetings.
Lizette is very involved in school and volunteer work, recently participating in the Valley Children’s Hospital Kids Day. This February, she helped with the organization of her local Make a Wish charity basketball game.
Throughout high school, she enjoyed working the concession stand and volunteering at her local Rotary Band Festival. As a member of her school’s Interact Club, Lizette helped with Selma Cares where she gave out food and clothes to those in need.
