Maritano honored as June Employee of the Month

It is with pleasure that we honor Rosalba Maritano, Accountant in the District Financial Services department, as the June 2019 Employee of the Month.

If you want something done efficiently, accurately and with a big smile, Rosalba is your person. She began her career at an early age working part-time for the Migrant Education department. During that time, she was attending Fresno State and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She soon moved to the Internal Business Services department as an Accounting Technician. In a very short time, her abilities were recognized and she was promoted to Senior Accounting Technician responsible for the accounts payable area.

Rosalba is a valuable asset to the Business Services department and to the school districts she supports. She is always willing to go above and beyond to ensure that her duties are fulfilled and the entire department succeeds in meeting its goals. Because of her warm and caring nature, she has made many life-long friends not only with the FCSS family, but with outside agencies and school district employees.

Rosalba has been a member of the FCSS Fit Club since its inception in 2011. She donates her time to various activities for the club and motivates people to meet their personal fitness goals. She offers to help anyone who wants to lead a healthy lifestyle.

In addition to the Fit Club, Rosalba volunteers her time for the annual Fresno County Academic Decathlon and CIF Central Section High School Basketball Finals. She is a person people turn to when they need help or advice. In addition to her many amazing qualities, Rosalba has a positive outlook on life, an infectious laugh and is reliable, loyal and trustworthy.

“Anything that helps motivate others is what I strive for,” said Rosalba. “I enjoy making a difference and bringing something positive to our organization.”
