Special education students enjoy fun activities at Kids Day

More than 1,200 Fresno County special education students from pre-kindergarten to age 22 enjoyed a fun-filled day at the 11th Annual Special Education Kids Day Friday, May 8 at the Schneider Electric Campus in Clovis. The event was hosted by Pelco by Schneider Electric in cooperation with the Fresno County Office of Education.

Students enjoyed music, animals and diverse activities, including face painting, a bounce house and much more. They met Marines, saw zoo animals and experienced a variety of vehicles, including fire trucks, police cars and a helicopter.

“Kids Day facilitates the opportunity for students with special needs to experience all of the wonderful activities traditional field trips offer wrapped into one fabulous event,” said Jim Yovino, Fresno County Superintendent of Schools. “This is by far one of the most unique and rewarding Fresno area events for children with special needs.”
