Students showcase skills at annual Career Skills Challenge
The Fresno County Office of Education’s annual Career Skills Challenge was March 17 at Fresno City College. The challenge included 1,350 students from more than 35 schools in Fresno, Madera and Mariposa counties. Students demonstrated their career technical education skills in 41 categories, including construction, technology, welding, robotics, auto mechanics, medical, design, firefighting and more.
The division winners were:
Sierra Division/Small Schools – Firebaugh High School
Sequoia Division/Medium Schools – Kerman High School
Yosemite Division/Large Schools – Center for Advanced Research and Technology (CART)
Overall Grand Champion -- Center for Advanced Research and Technology (CART)
