Message from the Superintendent
It is my honor to be sworn in for my second term as your 21st Fresno County Superintendent of Schools. Together we have accomplished so much for students. I’m eager to continue my journey as your tireless advocate for all children.
In the next four years there’s much to achieve! I’ll continue my focus on poverty, intervention, civility and homelessness as core areas of student success and achievement. While building upon those areas, my attention will turn specifically to the arts, career technical education and early care because I believe those are the priority areas to positively change the lives of children.
Making a lasting difference happens when we all work together. I’m grateful for the many partnerships I’ve made in both the private and business sectors that have engaged our community in education. All of you have played an important role through your dedication to improving social, emotional and educational outcomes for families and students.
Thank you to all of the board members, superintendents, administrators, teachers and staff of our 32 school districts, as well as the dedicated employees of the Office of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools. I look forward continuing our work together!
