Young students learn about science with LEGOs
The Fresno County Office of Education hosted the Junior FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) LEGO League event, “Water Wise,” on Saturday, April 16 at Hoover High School in Fresno.
The Junior FIRST LEGO League is targeted to students ages 6 to 9 with the goal to develop science, technology, engineering and math skills, as well as creativity and critical thinking, which will prepare them for future robotics competitions. Forty-one teams participated, with a total of 240 students. Every student received a medal for participation and each team had the opportunity to win prizes.
