Employee of the Month June: Always helpful to her colleagues

It is with pleasure that we honor Eyvonne James, Accountant in Internal Finance, as the June 2022 Employee of the Month.

Even though Eyvonne has only been with the Office of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools just over three years, she has already made a positive mark on her department and colleagues. With newer staff, Eyvonne has the patience and understanding of processes to guide them through the details of their position. She is always helpful to the Accounting Technicians, whether it’s assisting them to understand a payable process or figure out the resolution to a problem. She has brought an incredible amount of knowledge to Internal Finance and her years of expertise in accounting in the use of Excel is priceless.

Eyvonne implemented the process to use electronic statements for vendors to assist with keeping track of frequently used accounts. She also created the Standard Services Agreement tracker to help monitor contracted amounts for additional work needed. Eyvonne is currently the Accountant for Educational Leadership & Development. She is always at work early and is ready to take on whatever may come her way, as well as help her colleagues with their daily duties and deadlines.

“I was very surprised to say the least, but also very humbled,” said Eyvonne. “It is a great honor to be recognized. I work with an amazing group of people and I am very thankful to be part of the FCSS team.”
