January 2023 Employee of the Month

It is with pleasure that we honor Titus Karvon, Program Coordinator in Safe & Healthy Kids, as the January 2023 Employee of the Month.

Titus has a deep understanding of our programs and what they need to be successful in their communities. In his current role, Titus works with approximately 90 expanded learning programs throughout 21 districts with six Project Specialists and two Area Supervisors. In addition to oversight and management of programs and staff, Titus takes the lead on several projects within his department. 

For several years, Titus partnered with a couple of districts to organize and run engaging summer programs. He developed the plan, schedule, staffing, staff training, coordination of food services and busing, field trips and activities for the programs. All that amazing work was possible because of the strong relationships he built with district staff that resulted in them trusting Titus and FCSS to execute summer programs of this magnitude. 

In his day-to-day work, Titus interacts with department staff, district staff, administrators, teachers and program staff. He truly cares for each individual working in our programs, schools and students because he wants to make sure every student participating is given the best opportunity to learn and grow. Titus has never said “no” to any request his department or districts have asked of him. He has a natural ability to capture an audience with his engaging personality, infectious smile, endless positivity and radiant kindness. 

“It means a lot to be recognized as employee of the month, and I am very appreciative,” said Titus. “I look at this award as an award for my department since I am a small cog in the big machine that is Safe & Healthy Kids.”
