Superintendent's Superstar September 2024

Nellie is a senior at Fowler High School with a 4.1 GPA who excels in the classroom and community. She works hard to challenge herself by taking the most rigorous courses available in Redcat Country. She is currently in the process of completing her fifth dual-enrollment course through Reedley College. She is also actively involved on campus as Associated Student Body Social Media Commissioner, National Alliance of Mental Illness Secretary, Link Crew Leader, yearbook staff and School Leadership Member.

This school year, Nellie increased her civic and community engagement by joining the City of Fowler Junior Ambassadors program. Through this program she assists in organizing community events such as Wednesday Night at the Park, the Fowler Fall Festival and the Fowler Community Clean-Up event.

In addition to her academic and civic engagement, Nellie is also passionate about athletics. She has been a part of Fowler High's soccer team for the past four years. When she is not on the field, you can often find her volunteering in the concession stand to support other sports programs at school.

Though her school is incredibly proud of her academic achievements, civic engagement and performance on the athletic field, it is her character and heart that make her the standard bearer of what it means to live the “Redcat Way!”

After high school, Nellie plans to attend Fresno State to obtain a degree in social work, where she can continue her journey of serving others.
